The Trois-Rivieres Lions were at Colisee Videotron for three games against the Maine Mariners (Boston Bruins) on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.

Wednesday: Maine Mariners 1 - Trois-Rivieres Lions 4

The Lions put the first marker on the board late in the first period when Justin Ducharme’s shot from the top of the faceoff circle went between the goalie’s pads. Anthony Beauchamp doubled the lead early in the second when banking in a rebound. Later in the period, Isaac Dufort redirected Anthony Beauregard’s pass for a goal as he was crashing towards the net. The Mariners cut the lead to two goals in the third and with 5:28 remaining in regulation, Vincent Sevigny made it a three-goal game with a shot from the blue line during a man advantage.

Friday: Maine Mariners 1 - Trois-Rivieres Lions 5

Israel Mianscum opened the scoring with his first goal since returning from a lower body injury that forced him to miss 27 games. Maine got on the board before the first intermission, but momentum swung in Trois-Rivieres’ direction for the final 40 minutes. Isaac Dufort broke the tie with a power play goal at the 13:26 mark of the second period, followed by a goal by Tommy Cormier before the intermission and another in the early stages of the final frame. Morgan Adams-Moisan added to the lead with 5:33 remaining and extended his point streak to four games with his goal.

I think we waited for our chances and played within our structure. Even though we are missing significant elements at the moment, we have depth and it showed,” coach and general manager Ron Choules said. (Quote courtesy Le Nouvelliste)

Saturday: Maine Mariners 2 - Trois-Rivieres Lions 4

The Lions did not waste time and got on the board with their first shot on goal with Anthony Beauregard beating the goalie 0:23 seconds after puck drop. Chris Jandric doubled the lead later in the frame. The Bruins affiliate bounced back in the second period with a pair of goals 0:58 apart to tie the game. Beauregard put Trois-Rivieres ahead with his second of the afternoon with 1:43 remaining in the middle frame. Logan Nijhoff was the sole goal scorer in the third period as the Canadiens affiliate extended their winning streak to four games.
