Filppula gets traded to make cap space. The Bolts will retain some salary to make it happen. Filppula is not worth his current contract, but he is a good get for a team if we eat some of that salary. He is a good 2-way player, strong on faceoffs, and good in shoot-outs. And he still has gas in the tank. The Lightning really don't need him any more because they have so much depth at center.

What supporting cast do Montreal have? David Desharnais? Andrighetto? Danault? Flynn? Give me a break with that bs. Ottawa is a better team.

I agree with most of this list aside from BUF finishing last. I think they finish ahead of DET.

After the Semin disaster MTL signed Radulov? Makes no sense.....he doesn't finish the season there. I have MTL in last place in that division.

Leafs will be 8th for sure

I think the Leafs have 1 more year of tanking before they make a legitimate offer to succeed. So I'd be putting them last with the Sabres in front of them.

Can someone tell me why all of a sudden Detroit are no longer the organisational darlings they have been - remember, the model everyone wanted to follow with their insane prospect depth & well oiled team ready to take the next step? Where are all those prospects that everyone wanted?? Why have they now just been brushed aside? I realise they haven't won anything in the very recent years but still.......

If Tampa don't win this year they are goorn!! They should already have a cup with the team they have, & now they are needing to dismantle it to keep players - I think it may already be too late but that's just moi! They have peaked already, & are now regressing. Heard it here first folks.

agree for the most part. i would swap Montreal and Florida, that's about it. not that i think Montreal is so great, more that Price is, and i think Florida has become so ridiculously overrated. they stepped into the breach last year as Montreal bottomed out, Detroit continued to trend downward, Ottawa regressed and Tampa underachieved. they lost to a very, very mediocre NYI in the opening round. IMO they're totally unproven.

agreed with Victoro Buffalo is not a last place team... They are better then Toronto, Ottawa, Boston and Detroit... They will compete with Montreal for a playoff spot.

They dont let their young players play till their like 24. They won't trade any of them for D help, they hung on to Dats and Z too long, Franzen fell apart, goalies suck, relying on older vets too often.

Ennis isn't worth anything close to the value of larsson. Ennis at best is a 20 goal scorer and is much older. Lacks the upside of larsson who is atleast young and might have untapped potential. Fact is top 4 D especially young are worth a top line forward and not a mid-6 forward.
