Not including guys who put their wife through a TV.

Just so you know, people who do this don't change. They don't get better. No second chances for domestic abusers.

Stupid article. Every sport in the world has pros with problems worse than what Slava did and are still playing making millions, so to single out this guy over ALL the other thug nastys and bs players in other sports leagues that had some domestic issues is ridiculous. Everyone can change and deserves a 2nd chance, no matter if admitted guilt or continually denied. There are other NHL players who had issues and were slapped on the wrist and came back to play. Your judgement on the NHL is lame, they cracked down on him hard enough, he had the right to appeal per the NHLPA. If the NHLPA refused to appeal, then that would show them NOT standing by Slava. He may never play in the NHL again anyways, so to keep posting this type story seems out of personal malice towards the guy. I don't condone what he did, but put it to rest all ready. There are better positive things you can write about the Kings going forward than rehashing this crap.

10 years? Let's pump the breaks just a bit. If he punched, kicked, choked, and threw a guy threw a TV would you clammer for the same sentence?

Awful article. He deserved harsh punishment, lost his contract, has completely destroyed his reputation, served jail time. I’m sure paid some serious money to the poor victim. Hopefully not a day goes by that he’s not sorry for his actions. But he’s not the first athlete or human being to make a terrible mistake. Life is about second chances. This guy has done his time and paid the price. No reason for further punishment after this suspension.

Or, and this is crazy, he just feels strongly about something and happens to have a platform to express his views.

Never say all. My sisters husband did. He worked really hard at what was wrong with him emotionally and psychologically. Please don’t group people.

Slightly funnier the second time, but just pike I said yesterday their goalie has a .956% so far in the playoffs.

If they win a series in which their goalie posts under .920 ill admit i was wrong.

Voynov is a piece of trash. I agree Tanner. He should never be allowed back. Should be ZERO tolerance for what he did in any league. He is the definition of a coward.

James Tanner, you are just plain wrong. 1) "let him without sin cast the first stone" 2) As has been said, everyone deserves a second chance particularly after expressing remorse. 3) "For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." The Book of Matthew.

It must be comforting for you to reside in your glass house never having made a mistake and believing that spouting off this politically correct pablum will win you pokemon points. Voynov has paid his price to society to the sport and to the fans. He should be reinstated next year.

I read an article that said "lifetime ban policies" may actually deter victims from coming forward because they know that their financial future will be ruined whether they stay in the relationship or leave and receive some kind of support or settlement. Voynov's wife has chosen to stay with him and no one can judge her without knowing all the facts. In a sport that has always allowed and for many years silently encouraged fighting and violence, a lifetime ban seems hypocritical. And I actually do believe people can and do change (sometimes).

Progressives are the new authoritarians.
