Eklund: GAME 1 Thoughts. Keefe Extended, Tippet, Islanders Home, Buzz@3
- Eklund

I love the comparisons from Boston to Krug's hit and Orr's goal back in the day; definitely time to immortalize an uncalled charge...would be very NHL Playoffs 2019. Maybe a bronze statue of Chara obstructing a player that is about to blow by him after dumping it in his corner for the 5th time in a game is in the works too? Hopefully they can fit in a ref "looking the other way" to really capture the playoff vibe this year.

Uhhh Eklund, hate to be the one to tell you this, but the Islanders had the agreement to split the home games at the coliseum and Barclays LAST year.... try and keep up, dude.

FYI, Brayden Schenn plays for the Blues, not the Bruins.

Im sure its not in Babcock's contract, but it would be hilarious if Keefe was promoted to the Leafs and Babcock demoted to the Marlies riding the bus. Babcock is the most overrated coach in the history of the NHL imo and his ass needs to be fired to the moon.

Maybe they can also erect a statue of Maple Leafs fans crying and complaining about anything and everything since '67.

If Keefe was pissed off as you stated, he would have not signed his extension. The one paragraph you wrote about him total contradicts itself. Nice job bud !!

Can't wait to watch Tippett with the Oilers coaching McDavid and Draisaitl to dump and chase, play defensive hockey... I hope the Oilers suck again, and again and again, until McDavid is so fed up he asks for a trade to anywhere!!

Old coaches need to be recycled. Think of what it's doing to the environment.

It's hilarious - the Leafs need to stop forcing their personnel into signing contract extensions.

Weak. Try again and lose just like your trash team year after year. Make sure to blame poop that has little do with your failure along the way, too. Loser.
- glove_was_stuck

I'm glad you turned spell check on this time.
Yep, 21 games in 3 series..."trash"...Bruins would be golfing if Chara (sucker punch) and McCoy (slew foot) were held to the same standard Kadri is. Stay classy

I like how Schenn has actually had a pretty lousy playoffs. Last night was his best game by far, but until then, he's been pretty disappointing for them. How bad...in 19 playoff games he had 1 goal and 3 assists at even-strength.

But Ek calls him a monster and leader of the Blues offense???

It's almost as if Ek didn't watch the Blues previous 19 games where it's been very obvious that Schwartz, Tarasenko, and O'Reilly are leading the offense. Oskar Sundqvist has even-strength production of 4 goals, 4 assists, and is +7. Before last night, Schenn had 1 goal, 3 assists, and minus 5. So the 4C is dramatically outproducing Schenn. But Ek calls Schenn the monster! Huh??

Read it again....he actually says he's the leader of the Bruins offense

*Brayden Schenn is a monster player. He plays amazing hockey in both ends of the ice and is the leader of the Bruins offense...He is rounding into a hell of a two-way player...
