A team that is "first overall" cannot win the #1 pick as your blog states. Only the teams in the play in round, that can lose out of the final 16 teams, are eligible for the undecided #1 pick.

On the bright side the AVS went from 1 to 4 a few years ago and drafted Makar. That worked out well for them. Looking for a silver lining here.

I could also see yzerman going Rossi. He wasn’t afraid of small talented players in Tampa and word is Rossi is NHL ready.

I’m as high as anyone on drysdale as I believe he can be elite, but I would consider a forward due to next year being D heavy at the top and the wings likely will still be crap.

Drysdale or Rossi I am still thinking.......unless a trade down gives Stevie a pick in the top 10 and another at around #33 overall

Rossi makes a lot of sense for the Wings His offense is absurd and, despite his size, he's far from weak. Low-center of gravity guy like Crosby.
