Karine Hains: A Bitter Pill to Swallow The Canadiens were the better team tonight, but a lack of opportunism and finishing left them reeling and trailing 2-0 in the series.

The high stick with that 4 on 3 and all that space on the ice Richardson had no business leaving Caufield on the bench

Nothing bitter about It, Montreal shouldn't have even qualified for the playoffs and they are now being destroyed by an elite team. A classic case of be careful for what you wish for. I'm enjoying the destruction.

Say what you want about wether Montreal should be in the playoffs shady, they're also playing a team that's 8 million over the salary cap. So being destroyed by an elite team that's clearly circumventing the rules for a 2nd year in a row isn't really something to enjoy

You finally got a taste of your own medicine Play better and lose. This team has been running thru the raindrops and not getting wet. Last night you drowned in your own sweat. How does it feel

It feels like a really dumb analogy by somebody stretching too hard. More so it screams "I'm so (frank)ing jealous and I can't help myself so I'll flail away with dumb comments...but only if they lose because I'm a coward who has been hiding the entire time they've been winning"

So good on ya bud

Hang in there Habs fans. You could have won last night with a little luck and with a bit more of the Carey Price A game. Not that he has been bad but he has not been at his absolute best.
If he gets back there and he probably will you can win both games in Montreal.
Good luck.

Price gave a bad goal. Third one is on defense.

Vasalekski was red hot last night but also gave up a bad one.

It's hard to imagine mtl getting more chances than they did last night. Oh well.

Unfortunately, even though the Habs nearly doubled Tampa’s shot total, they weren’t quality shots. The Bolts netminder was the runner up in the Vezina voting this season, and you can’t hope to beat him with wrist shots that he can see coming. John Cooper’s men are betting on deflections and taking Carey Price’s eyes away to score

Habs had a huge number of deflections last night. They kept showing the replays. It was just not going in.

How could you missed all those?

They lost the game on the 4 on 3 with Gustavson on the ice and no Caufield

Habs are a team in rebuild and have a bright future. Tampon Bay will probably not be able to go into playoffs next season with a $100 million + squad.

Yeah and know, we have a young forward group with and aging D. Depends on how Harris and Guhle will develop. I would'nt bet my house the they make the playoffs next year.

If I'm Ducharme, next game I pull a Jacques Demers and I ask the referee to measure Vasilevskiy's entire goalie gear. The guy looks suspiciously big.

Yes.

and don't sleep on the job and staple Caufield to the bench on a 4 on 3.

Their hard-on for Gustafsson is inexplicable at this point. His 60 points season was an anomaly. He will never revert to that again.

It's not time to push the guys you acquired at the deadline Bergy, Staal was good, Merill and Gus are terrible but nobody cares they cost nothing

tough loss for sure...but the Habs proved they can play with these guys...they belong...they actually dominated at times and that 2nd P was awesome except for the last second goal against.....having said that...I felt Sergachev should have received a match penalty for the Lehky hit...very dangerous in the corner...that was intent to injure...the leauge has got to be looking at this kid...he's trash....very suspect decision making....im actually very surprised as I always thought the HAbs made a mistake on that trade...not any more.
