Will McTavish be the centerpiece of an Eichel trade? Is that why they signed him now.

The Athletic did a nice feature on Zellweger at Team Canada World Junior camp. Great skater who trains harder than anyone else on whatever team he plays on (first man on the ice and last one off). Sounds like the real deal. And Scott Wheeler of the Athletic has Pastujov as a late first rounder with great instincts, hands, and scoring touch who needs to work on his skating.

I wonder about that myself.

I'm looking forward to relevant hockey in So Cal again in the coming years. Will be fun to see all these new young kids on the Ducks and Kings growing into the rivalry. Wonder who the next Kopitar and Getzlaf will be.

10 million in cap is alot to fill... Rico ? 2 mil retained. Raks and couple of the still coming D men. With next yrs 1st top 5 protected.

The Sabres would take Henrique back, but they're not retaining anything on Eichel.

No need to retain on Henrique as the Sabres will need his entire cap hit so they can make the cap floor for at least the upcoming season (ridiculous, I know).
