I think Bergevin did as well as he could this offseason.

He brought in Hoffman, who's a small upgrade over Tatar.

Oh and there's always a chance he makes another move before the season starts, I'd rather roll the dice with our 4 young centres. They can do it.

He made bold moves that had myself thinking he was off his rocker, but can't argue with their playoff run. Now, they look depleted heading into this season, and likely fighting for that last playoff spot for the 3rd year in a row. Best of luck.

I'm guessing both parties want a bridge deal, Kotkaniemi's agent will argue that his client is likely going to be the team's 2nd centre, and will want more money because of that.
