Not sure brother. It would take a lot to make him sit out. Praying everyone is ok. I remember a player who was a friend playing through a family member passing away. It’s such a strain. Hopefully it’s nothing that severe |

Yikes! - HenryHockey
Yikes is right. I'd think that either Veleno or Suter would be better suited to 1C spot duty than Rasmussen. Or make Fabbri the C and bump up Zadina.
I mean, there are no good options, granted, but Ras has to be one of the worst.

This.
Let Veleno have a “go” is what I say.
I see shades of deja vu in the future, hope I’m wrong
Why does Blashill save all his “dumb” moves for Montreal? |

Honest question.
Do you think Seider becomes better than Lidstrom at his prime?
Cause I think he will. What a beast of a player. Been a while since I've seen a young defender come in and dominate like how he does. Makar and Heiskanen (especially in that playoff run) are amazing in their own right but Seider is just built different. His physicality sets him apart from those two. Not just blunt physicality but the ability to literally control the play by making the right hits, etc. He controls the tempo out there with his size and vision.
Even Lidstrom seems to think so, at least at Seider's current age:

No doubt that Montreal's roster Is depleted but more Importantly they do have an Incompetent GM, and even though I'm a Wild fan I enjoy seeing the Wings and Yzerman trending In the right direction. |

No.
Come on, Lidstrom is top five all time at his position, arguably No. 2. Seider has a very high potential ceiling but no one in their right mind would project him there after just 9 NHL games.

It’s hard to believe that will happen.
You have to remember, Lidstrom has always down played his own abilities, success etc. Every team deployed a strategy to hit and wear him down. It rarely happened because he had the smarts and ability to make the plays all while avoiding- all while making it look easy. That’s one of the things that really made him great. It was never about ego, his accomplishments, etc.... it was always about the team. He is impressed, that means the kid has the right tools. Only time will tell if he has the smarts/brain to go with it and be able to “read” the game. |

Well done by Ras and DeKeyser 1-0 Habs. Great job by Blashill to bump up a guy that can barely center a 3rd line to the first line and not scratching a defenseman that is just horrible and drags down everyone he plays with. |

So much for Blashill and his talk about the team remembering how the Habs beat their asses last time and coming in with a strong effort from the start. |

Wings are late to pucks, just standing around and afraid to battle along the boards fearing to get hit while Montreal knows the chance of a Wings player throwing a hit are minimal at best. Plus they are giving the puck away like candy on Halloween. |

It’s brutal to watch this.
Wanna talk addition by subtraction? One name- DeKeyser. Poor Mo
We all heard how Ras got in good graces last year, but really? Fabbri, Suter, Veleno, Gagner....Hell even Stephens at this point would probably be doing better.
