Ben Shelley: Kings re-sign Blake Lizotte, complete two more trades

I don't like this extension. He always turns over the puck or is trying too hard to do something with the puck.

Kings have a better fourth line this year than they have had in many years and he (Lizzo) is a part of that. I’m fine with the extension and, at least in my opinion, he has played extremely well this season. The other two trades make little sense to me. Seem like trades made for the sake of making a trade.

always turns the puck over? you must be thinking of Dustin Brown. He's always getting blown up by bigger defensemen, and he's always battling along the boards with bigger players, and he always pressuring on the forecheck. Those are some things he's always doing. He's always giving full effort, too. He's a great 4c for this team and looks to be so for the next couple of seasons at a reasonable price. I'm cool with it.

I like Lizzo's play. Do I think they could have gotten him under $1.5M or even replaced what he does under $1.5M, maybe. But he fits in well with the guys so I'm good with paying a few $ more than I would liked to.
