Hoping at some point I come in here and read that Isles went all in and made a bold move upfront. |

There has to be at least one bold move by Lou, because that’s who he is.

Yep. 100% keep the faith. Everyone forgets who Lameriello is, and what his history is. Not saying it’s going to happen but he doesn’t shy away from making a big move. |

I just hope Lou gets the Islanders to the PO’s and maybe even a couple ECF’s.

Umm, a few nights ago. Getting Romanov. Before that, JGP. GM’s don’t need to make “BIG” moves every 5 minutes. Especially when they have a solid core that they believe in.
I’m not really understanding your point, though. You’re right that not all big moves pan out, so why do you want him to make one? |

Why does there have to be one? I know he does make moves here and there, but he’s not going to jeopardize the team JUST to make a deal. I think it has to make sense and be good for the team in order for him to make a big move. And he usually doesn’t over pay. |

Both years they made it to the ECF’s, we’re unusual circumstances. Shortened seasons. That said, until Lou does some stupid sh!t (like Snowballz), I believe he’ll do what’s best for the team and hopefully we have a strong season. He’s brought stability, credibility and respect back to this organization. My guess is that he’s GM’d more NHL teams in one month than all of us combined. So I’ll believe in the moves (or lack thereof) that he makes. |

No you are correct. Not every GM has to make big moves. However, when your team has had a glaring need for a top line pure goal scorer to go with your talented center(s) for the last 6 to 9 years. These small or non moves leave you wondering.

A big move is needed for the 1st line wing. Isles need improvements in the top 6. 3rd or 4th line players do not require big moves.

Because he’s an Islander Fan. No matter what most of them piss and moan.
Just think about the circus we all had to route for when Snow Balls and Crappy led the way.
For a decade + in Charge. Maybe a big deal like getting Ladd?
2 EFC’s and a Second round appearance in 4 years and Lou should make a big move.
Can’t make this sh!t up. |

So I’m seriously interested Ses, what is a proposed big deal you are looking at in terms of players, picks given up for player/players coming back? |

Matthew Tkachuk.
I offer next years #1, AB, Wally (because I doubt they take Bellows or Raty), and Samuel Bolduc.
I n Tkachuk you get grit, scoring, and your future Captain of the young core. |

Would you prefer the status quo as far as the top 6? Or is it just accepting that most likely, nothing is going to happen? |

My point is that the islanders lack a pure goal scorer/sniper. Romanov isn’t a BIG move either is JGP. Those are solid moves. My point is he needs to get a true goal scorer and this team will be back in the playoffs and can contend |

I like it but for a mid 1st which is a dice roll. AB who is definable as a pro, Wally who hasn’t proved himself consistently in the NHL and Bolduc who doesn’t have a game in the NHL but certainly has promise. If the Flames do it I’m all for it. but don’t think Lou gets a return phone call back on that one. Of course that’s Just my opinion.
That said I don’t think there’s an Islander fan that wouldn’t make that deal and or love MT on the team. |

I think we need a big-time sniper as well. Not gonna argue that. Maybe Lou thought that Palms would fill that role. Maybe he thought Wally would step up to that role. I don’t know. The only one who does is Lou. But since we went to the ECF’s 2 years in a row (and zero times under Snowballz), I’ll see what Lou does. |

I agree with this. They made the playoffs and ECF with shortened seasons. Look what happened this year in a full season. People use the road trip and COVID as an excuse. Before the COVID outbreak they were horrible. |

So propose a deal that gets one?
Also what pure goal scorer did they have the prior 3 years when they were in the PO’s that they didn’t have this year?

Funny this is I don’t piss and moan like you said with everything. So for me wanting a true goal scorer/sniper it’s an always piss and moan. Hahaha |

My main point is if they get a true goal scorer/sniper with the currently constructed team then I feel they can contend with anyone outside the Avs who are amazing. |
