Thanks Trevor!
I could see Zary moving back to left wing because of his footspeed. I doubt he can become a centre in the NHL. |

Trevor, I honestly think you are making too much about it. First off its an AHL contract, so there is zero chance he will get the coaches fast track for being his son. Gawdin & Philp still aspire to play NHL & went to where they felt they would have a better opportunity to get promoted to the NHL for a stint. Flames know exactly what they get with Brett, he's strictly an AHL player & it works well because the Flames farm team has moved to Calgary & he will be able to ply his grit & leadership close to family & home. Was a no brainer in my view.
Sorry but I know, its August dog days of hockey & we dont even have our Weegar signing yet to trigger all our trade ideas for Kyllington or Hanfin, which you have to know we are chomping at the bit to do.
You know what might be an interesting series to do is high light all the teams that are in a nightmare cap scenario that are either currently over or dressing 20 players or less & the implications of that. How can that equate into opportunities for the Flames. Just a suggestion. ie Vegas are fcked |

If your trajectory is so low that you're upset about losing a spot on the fourth line on an AHL team, that's not much of a trajectory. Injuries will also happen and Pelletier is likely going to spend most of the season as a Flame. If you still can't find a spot in the lineup, you're probably better off moving to Europe anyway.
I know there's nothing to write about at the moment, but getting a player like Sutter on your AHL team is nothing but a positive. |

Not a bad idea! Always appreciate a suggestion! This piece is surely AHL-centric, but an interesting storyline to follow.

Sign Weeger for sure but if we could get a 2023 2nd or better for Kylington (too many brain farts) I would move him before Hani.

Hurts to think Brad gave up a second for Jankrock and then he walked. |

His son was asked about the chances of his dad calling him up: he said less than zero. |
